Even though Shinhwa‘s Eric Mun hasn’t really finished his military service just yet, already he’s gaining popularity in 13 different Asian countries. It’s all thanks to his new drama, Poseidon. Not only will the actors be star-studded but it also seems there are going to big names behind the scenes as well!
As of now, the three big names involved will be Director Yu Cheolyong, who notably directed All In, Heat, and Swallow the Sun, Oh Sangwon, who produced Sad Love Story and The Way of Life, and Jo Kyuweon who is the writer of IRIS and will be the Director of Co-Production.
For those of you who are wondering, Poseidon will be the story of a marine police’s special team. It apparently started filming last October but it will be starring Kim Kangwoo, Eric Mun, TVXQ’s Jung Yunho, Kim Wookbin, and Jeon Hyebin.
When the story unfolds, which is said to have a hot romance on a sandy beach, Eric Mun, being only one half of this alleged hot romance, made this drama highly anticipated around Asia.
The broadcast’s official had stated:
“Due to the cold weather shooting had to stop, but shooting resumed last week for ‘Poseidon’ and soon other South East Asian countries will be able to enjoy the work of these actors. China, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Mongolia, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia specifically are the 13 countries that the drama is proposed to be broadcasted, and we hope to have good results soon.”
They also added: “In Korea, while the drama is being broadcast additional products and goods are expected to be exported as soon as we get the green light.”
