Big Mama to Disband after Next Album

Powerful vocal group Big Mama has decided to split up after 8 years together.
Debuting in 2003 with their debut single Like the Bible, Big Mama has made a gigantic impact on the k-pop community.

A representative from their company, Tailruns Media, spoke to Newsen on the 22nd and explained, “Shin Yunah and Park Minhye‘s contracts expired in January. They will release a special album as scheduled in the first half of the year, and they will wrap up group activities after promotions.
This notice comes as no surprise to fans who have seen the group embarking on solo activities long before today. Park Minhye had previously announced her single album in January, while Shin Yunah is planning on continuing solo activities. The remaining members Lee Jiyoung and Lee Younghyeon will each be releasing their own respective albums.
The rep continued, “The special album will be composed of new songs. For now, until everyone is able to hear Big Mama’s album, they will put their heart and soul into its production. We are currently in the process of collecting songs.
The rep also sparked some hope for fans by adding, “Although it has come to this, it doesn’t mean hope is lost. Can’t they come together later as a project group of some sort?
