Jokwon and Gain Believe to Have Raised the Standards of a WGM Couple

Among all the couples we have seen on MBC We Got Married, no couple has been as much as loved and as quirky as the seemingly mismatched Adam Couple, 2AM‘s kkap king Jokwon and Brown Eyed Girls‘ feisty maknae Gain.

Their funny yet sweet interactions on and off cam left viewers wishing for more and that their reel marriage to be real. After announcing that the they will be separating due to various reasons, the Adam Couple will broadcast their last episode of being a married couple on January 15th. Viewers although disappointed are now more interested on what the future may be on this couple.

Usually, WGM couples do not contact each other after filming for the show, quite emphasizing that they are only part of a fake marriage.

Even popular and loving couples are now nowhere to be seen together. We see no Andy and Solbi together. Crown J – Seo Inyoung, Kim Hyunjoong – Hwang Bo, and Hwanhee – Hwayobi do not contact each other. Shinae even tied the knot in real life with another man after her WGM stint with Alex.

Marco met Son Dambi on Danbi and he sure looked happy, but that’s about it. Jung Hyungdon and Taeyeon met in Be Happy Today but they did not even mention anything about WGM at all.

However, there are special cases like Jun Jin and Lee Siyoung who got together for real after they left WGM and Kim Yongjoon and Hwang Jungeum who are actually a real couple even before the show.

Perhaps, it is because the Adam Couple acted more like real lovers than a married couple that even if they have left the show, that image still lingered. Thus, unintentionally raising the standards of a WGM couple.

The public is no longer wants to see  an obvious fake marriage but a couple who is sincere to each other to even keep their friendship, at the very least, after the show. And the Adam Couple surpassed this expectation.

Interestingly, aside from We Got Married, they are also part of the sitcom All My Love as siblings. “During the two days of filming (sitcom) we are siblings, after that we go back to be husband and wife,” expressing the bizarre situation they were in and the closeness they have developed during all those times together.

After all the sweet moments, the bickering, and everything in between, the Adam Couple surely will go down We Got Married history as the couple who brought lots of love and laughter on the show and the individuals who were not afraid to be as true as they can be.
