Rain and SNSD Bag Grand Prizes for Seoul Art and Culture Awards


Rain and SNSD have been chosen to receive grand prize awards for the upcoming 2nd Seoul Art and Culture Awards.

It was reported that Rain was selected to receive the grand prize in the ‘World Star Category’, while SNSD for the ‘Pop Singer Award Category’. Aside from the them, other artists and personalities were also chosen to receive awards from the other categories for this ceremony.
Other notable celebrities which were mentioned include actress Jeon Doyeon who won the top award for the ‘Movie Actors Category’, while Lee Beomsoo triumphed in the ‘Drama Category’ for his role in SBS’ drama Giant. Stage actor Chung Sunghwa for his work in the musical ‘Hero’, director Ryu Seungwan for his crime drama, ‘The Unjust‘, and SM Entertainment‘s founder and major stockholder Lee Sooman, for the grand prize in the ‘Pop Music Producers Category’.
This awards ceremony will be giving out awards for a total of 11 categories and it will be attended by specially invited guests including multiculturalfamilies and handicapped individuals. Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism together with the City of Seoul, it will be held at the Gymnastic Stadium, Olympic Park on February 28th at 7pm. Performances from the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Police Agency Theater Troupe, baritone singer Seo Junghak, SNSD, and many others are also expected.
