Big Bang sub-unit group GD&TOP have taken over the Kpop world with their various music performances and appearances to promote their debut album, High High. Already experienced with solo promotions, will member G-Dragon go solo with the single, Obsession?
G-Dragon recently surprised fans by announcing that he would be perfoming Obsession, a solo track from High High, on the kpop music show, Mnet‘s M!Countdown. The solo track featured dark lyrics reminicent of She’s Gone, a track from his debut album Heartbreaker.
An inside source from the kpop music show was able to share, “Obsession has a strong rock and roll feel to it, in order to interpret the song perfectly, arrangements were made with a band.”
But will G-Dragon begin solo promotions with this track? YG Entertainment has yet to announce a decision to any kpop news reporters, leaving the question in the air. YG had previously stated that they wished to give both G-Dragon and TOP chances to promote their solo tracks, along with music videos if there was time.
Meanwhile, an M!Countdown representative also commented on G-Dragon’s performance, “We could really feel his unique charisma.” Fans definitely agreed as they left supportive comments and wishes to see more of G-Dragon’s ‘Obsession‘.
