KBS 2TV‘s drama Dream High is just on its third week of broadcast, yet already topping the charts!
AGB Nielson Media Research revealed the nationwide viewer ratings of three Korean dramas that are on the same time slot for January 17, 2011. MBC‘s Queen Of Reversals and SBS‘ Athena: Goddess of War both garnered a nationwide viewer rating of 14.7%, while KBS2‘s Dream High got a nationwide viewer rating of 15.5% and a rating of 17.0% in the capital city, claiming the number 1 spot.
This drama, which is a joint project by Bae Yongjoon and Park Jinyoung, has totally shown improvement in terms of its ratings since it started airing. Last January 3, Dream High‘s pilot episode earned a viewer rating of 10.7%, with KBS1 TV‘s Smile, Donghae acquiring the number 1 spot for having 33.7%.
Dream High has caught the attention and interest of many viewers because it casts a lot of kpop idol stars with various music and dance highlights, making it somehow different from other Korean dramas.
“It’s been discovered that the genuine love situations and non-stop smiles of the protagonists gives the viewers a fresh feeling,” the production company explained.
