SONEs Show Love for SNSD to Trump Anti Fans

At about 11am GMT on Friday, Feb 25, “Anti SNSD” were listed on the worldwide trending list of Twitter. The cause of the trend was unknown but it was mostly fueled by curious Twitter users, whether they were fans or anti-fans.

As we know, every mention of the phrase will push it further into the trending list. So, it was no wonder that the phrase trended for hours since everyone, including fans, kept asking why the term was trending.
However, SONEs (the term for SNSD fans) took matters into their own hands to counter the phrase to show their love and support for their idols. In a very short period, the united effort managed to bring the phrase #ilovesnsd into the worldwide trending list. #ilovesnsd went on to top the worldwide Twitter trending list in less than hour to trump the anti fans.
At the time of writing, which is hours since #ilovesnsd topped the trending list, the phrase is on top of the list. This is not possible unless thousands and thousands of people worldwide, not just Asia, work together to make it happen (and yes many have tried in the past but mostly failed miserably).
Joint and united efforts by fans to support their idols are touching and recommendable. Don’t you agree?
This is the screencap of the Twitter trending list.
And in case you’re wondering, the trend with the tag “Promoted” is not influenced by real time tweets so technically, #ilovesnsd is still at the top of the list.
