Hyun Bin is given permission to attend the Berlin International Film Festival before having to enter the Marine Corps.
Originally Hyun Bin was not set to attend the film festival due to the date of his departure to the marines. However, announced on Monday he would be leaving for his service duty on March 7th leaving him enough time to attend on February 15th to February 23rd. With the dates confirmed and the prestige the film festival brings, authorities granted him the permission to attend that he had originally sought out.
Now he will be gracing the Berlinale red carpet for the festival, where two of his films will be screened. Come Rain, Come Shine where he co-stars alongside Im Soojung and will have the chance to win the Golden Bear award. His multi-national film, Late Autumn, will also star Tang Wei. The films are just two of a total of nine films that will be screened from Korea.
