For the first time, the singer, Boa will star in a movie.Boa has been casted in the movie, COBU 3D with Dancing With the Stars champion, Derek Hough.
Both Boa and Derek will be playing two different characters who grew up in two different environments. Both have siblings that run an underground club in New York and are dangerous rivals but they end up falling in love like Romeo and Juliet.
Derek Hough have won three times on Dancing With the Stars and have gained fame in America. Through a musical in London called Footloose: The Musical, he has become a star.
COBU 3D will be directed by Dwayne Adler who also directed Save the Last Dance and Step Up along with Robert Cort who directed Jumanji, Excellent Adventure, Runaway Bride and many others. CJ Entertainment and SM Entertainment will be part of the producing team as well. The filming will take place starting in Spring and will be filmed in New York and Toronto.
The movie is planned to release in 2012 and Boa is planning on showing a variety of performances and acting skills. CJ Entertainment will be handling the promotion in Korea, China, and Japan while Lionsgate Inernational will start its promotion in February at the Berlin Film Festival.
