Finalists for the Third Shorty Awards Named

The finalists of the Shorty Awards have finally been revealed after weeks of nominations from the twitter community all over the world. And we are delighted to announce that some of your favorite Kpop idols have managed to reach the final round

According to the official blog of the aforementioned award giving body, the finalists have been decided after receiving over 750,000 tweeted nominations from different parts of the globe, where there are 6 finalists in each category. To start with, we have known twitter users Jay Park, JYJ‘s Jaejoong and Super Junior‘s Heechul as finalists for the ‘Celebrity Category’ alongside other popular singers like Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, as well as a member of British boy group One Direction, Niall Horan.

JYJ’s Yoochun and SNSD‘s international fan community Soshified have both rounded it off to the top 6 of the ‘Entertainment Category’. JYJ’s Xiah Junsu also made it as a finalist in the ‘Music Category’ together with well-known singers like Britney Spears, Nick Brown, Justin Bieber, Jonas Brothers and One Direction. Jaejoong is also included as a finalist in the ‘Fashion Category’. And lastly, we have Heechul as a top contender for the ‘Social Media Expert Category’.

Furthermore, it has also been revealed that the Shorty Awards are still accepting nominations in 6 other categories apart from those which were mentioned above. And finally, the proclamation of the official winners will be on the 28th of March at The Times Center in New York City.
