SNSD Launches Official Japanese Website

SNSD (or known as Shoujo Jidai in Japan) has just launched their official Japanese website at 12 p.m. JST on March 5. Similar to the Korean official website, the website is themed using their third mini album Hoot. The music video of Hoot, Gee and Genie is also available from the website.

Fans can also check out the official photos from their Hoot mini album as well as the individual profiles of each member.
Last June, it was announced that the girls signed contracts with Universal Music Japan’s record label Nayutawave Records for their Japanese activities and on August 25, they made their official debut through a showcase in the Tokyo Ariake Colliseum where 22,000 fans attended.
They released their first Japanese single Genie in days later in September and their second single Gee on October 20, with both achieving good results on the Oricon weekly and daily charts.
SNSD returned to the Japanese market with the release of their Japanese version of Run Devil Run as a digital single, released on January 25, 2011. That same month, their song Gee was certified Platinum by RIAJ.
It is rumored that the girls will be releasing a brand new Japanese single titled Hey Taxi and a Japanese tour sometime in the coming future. However, all these are just rumors until confirmed at a later date.
Meanwhile, check out their official Japanese websites for more goodies and updates about the girls and their upcoming activities.
