Big Bang’s T.O.P recently revealed that his stage name was actually intended to be Mark!
T.O.P recently revealed on SBS’s Night After Night,the origin of his name T.O.P and how he was originally intended on being called Mark. The MC’s enquired wether he was trying to be cool when he debuted under the name T.O.P, however he responded with
” Yang Hyun-suk the CEO and founder of YG Entertainment came up to me and said ” your name is now mark” and when i asked him to explain why, he replied saying it was the name of his favourite guitarist. I felt that the name wasn’t right and a few days later Se7en asked what i thought about the name T.O.P and that was my name from then on”
T.O.P is currently promoting High High with fellow member G-Dragon on various music shows.
